• Bar Manager (Full time) based in Reading Centre
• Bar Staff (Part Time) based in Reading Centre

Bar Manager

We have a vacancy for a Bar Manger based in Reading.

Will suit someone from a Craft Beer background interested in providing excellent, friendly customer service with genuinely excellent products.

Role will include:

- Liaison with our brewery in Cardiff to ensure on time supplies of product

- Negotiation with local wholesalers for spirits and soft drinks / wines etc

- Management of casual bar staff to ensure service is best in town

- Responsibility for success of the premises

- Management of weekly events calendar and liaison with bands, acts, etc

Qualities we are looking for

- Passion for craft beer

- Reliable/dependable

- Calm disposition, with a sense of urgency during busy periods

- Dynamic, engaging and positive-minded with a ‘can-do attitude’ approach to all tasks

- Trustworthiness

This is a full time role based on 40 hours per week paying £30k-35k based on experience, with additional performance based bonuses.

Bar Staff (Part Time)

Part-time role based on 10-15 hours per week, paying £10 per hour

What we are looking for

We are on the lookout for someone keen and enthusiastic, who has the ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment. We are striving for excellence here at Mad Dog and are constantly refining what we do, so we are looking for someone that shares our drive for quality. This translates in to providing the best experience possible for our customers, in this case by helping serve our delicious Mad Dog beers. We are a family business with a strong supportive culture, and the successful candidate will echo these sentiments through their actions. Experience not essential, full training will be provided.
